1-3 Jul 2024 BORDEAUX (France)

PRESENTATION

You liked the first, the second and the third one ...

We invite you to participate to the Fourth European Amphibian Conference
in Bordeaux 1st to 3rd of July

The aim of this conference is to encourage the creation of a European network of scientists using amphibians as model systems, to improve the perception of these models, which are particularly useful in translational medicine, and to initiate and consolidate the interest of young scientists in working with amphibians. In support of this effort toward young scientists, the early birds registration fees are kept low (150 €) for students.

In 2017, 2019 and 2022, the European Amphibian Clubs were held in Rennes (France), Halle-Wittenberg (Germany) and Ghent (Belgium). They attracted over 100 participants from most European countries as well as from outside Europe. Participants met to discuss new discoveries and technologies that apply to amphibian models in different fields of biology. The unique feature of this conference is that all aspects of amphibian-based science are covered: from cell cycle control to stem cell and developmental biology, from neurogenesis to metamorphosis and regeneration, from ecology to the modeling of human diseases.

The conference will particularly attract and encourage young scientists. In each session we will have open slots for presentations selected from abstracts and poster sessions. Organized meetings between young and established scientists will provide networking opportunities to support the engagement of younger scientists in the field of modern amphibian biology.
